Presented by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, the Hong Kong’s Participation in the 25th Shenzhen Reading Month stages the following activities  --

  • 2 to 24 November: “Palace Museum Collections X Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage” Exhibition cum Book Fair*@A Venue. FREE admission;
  • 2 November: Opening ceremony of “Palace Museum Collections X Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage” Exhibition*@A Venue. By invitation only;
  • 2 November: Hakka Flower Band Making Technique Demonstration Workshop*@A Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 2 to 8 November: Book fair of selected Hong Kong publications*@B Venue. FREE admission;
  • 3 November: Expert Talk titled “Approaching Chinese Ancient Calligraphy and Painting”* and Paper Cutting Technique Demonstration & Workshop*@A Venue; Author Talk titled “The Golden Era of Hong Kong's Entertainment Industry”*@B Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 7 November: Author Talk titled “Paleontological Fossil Laboratory: Dinosaurs X Files”* presented by award-winning author of The Next Writer Publication Funding Scheme*@C Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 8 November: Small Floral Plaque Workshop*@A Venue. Free on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 9 November: Hong Kong-style Milk Tea Technique Demonstration and Tasting Workshop*@A Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 10 November: Crafting Technique Demonstration Workshop*@A Venue, and Author talk titled “Hong Kong Ink Marks: Constructing the Calligraphy Art of Hong Kong”*@B Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 15 November: Small Floral Plaque Workshop*@A Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 16 November: Artifacts Talk titled “Pu Xinyu’s Art of Calligraphy and Painting”*@A Venue, and Author talk titled “Hiking in Hong Kong”*@ C Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 16 to 30 November: Book fair of selected Hong Kong publications*@C Venue. FREE admission;
  • 17 November: Cultural dialogue titled “Cultural Treasures (Palace Museum and Dunhuang) and their Connection to Hong Kong”*@A Venue, and Author Talk titled “Hong Kong Food Chronicles”*@C Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 22 November: Small Floral Plaque Workshop*@A Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 22 November: Shenzhen Study Tour@A Venue, Central Shenzhen Book Mall, Space Science and Technology Institute (Shenzhen). For invited Hong Kong teachers and students only;
  • 23 November: Demonstration of Hong Kong-style Cheongsam Making Workshop*, and Cheongsam Bookmark Workshop*@A Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 24 November: Expert Talk titled “Approaching Ancient Chinese Ceramics” *@A Venue, and Author Talk titled “Architectural Analysis of Hong Kong Shopping Malls”*@C Venue. FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • 24 November: Exchange sessions of “Twin Cities Shine Together- Shenzhen-Hong Kong Historical Research Achievement Exchange and Exhibition” - Public Session@F Venue and Professional Session@Chronicles Office of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. Public Session is open for FREE on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis, while Professional Session is by invitation only;
  • 24 November to 8 December: Exhibition of "Twin Cities Shine Together - Shenzhen-Hong Kong Historical Research Achievement Exchange and Exhibition" @C  and F Venues.
